in⋅som⋅ni⋅a
–noun
inability to obtain sufficient sleep, esp. when chronic; difficulty in falling or staying asleep; sleeplessness.
So right now the weird thing is that I am typing this while at Starbucks sitting at a table with Errol and Nick, so right now it is not about insomnia. But for the last two months it really has been, believe you me. For those that have me on Twitter or Facebook definitely know about my issue.
So I have this weird disorder of not being able to sleep if something is on my mind. And the other problem is that I have a issue with trying to clear my mind. It is not something recent that has occurred as well. When I was a young lad I used to sit on the roof and gaze into the horizon. I used to doodle and draw random crap and just have some crazy thoughts. I had the glowing stars on my ceiling , don’t lie you know you had them and got them from Spencer’s too, and would try to connect them to make something up. It could have been a ninja star or racing boat or giraffe. But it was one of those random things. The best part is that I got used to doing it mid-sleep so there was some funny things I would scribble.

So in Tuesdays Sacramento bee was a article of one of the local Wallyworld’s changing it’s bag policy. No longer offering plastic bags, you either bring your own or buy reusable bags starting at .15 or .50cents. This is going to be a long test consisting of a few California stores to see the impact and as a proactive action against some new state rules. Wal-Mart is trying to move forward in their plan of lowering their plastic usage by 33% by the year 2013. What seems to be the problem is getting people to act upon bringing their own bags in. Also, news to me, apparently in 2007 San Francisco put a ban on plastic bags in supermarkets.
I have a lot my negative views of the big “W” overall but I think this is a sign for something positive. It nowhere nears makes me a advocate of their policies on employees, work conditions, or business practices. But this small things shows how smart a company they are. This is victory’s for them in many different ways. First off, it is showing the general public that they are concerned about plastic usage and making a effort to lower the usage of it in their stores. Secondly they are going to be making money off the bags, that I sure bear Wal-Mart logo’s on them, even selling them at such a low price. Soon enough I’m sure you will see Wal-Mart reusable bags brought into Safeway or Nugget Market. Third they are training their patrons to bring in the bags, saving them on plastic overall. This not only helps the environment but their costs as well. Considering how large the company is, being able to save 33% on anything on their profit and loss expenditures will make a significant impact to overall dollar gain.
I say a lot of negative things about the company, but I never said they were not a smart business. That is something they are good at and why they are able to be so large on take charge on so many fronts. This is one of those times I give them kudos for their proactive policies, although it is helping them more on the financial end then helping the environment, that’s just another plus of it all.

I am not sure how everyone in the world feels about DJ AM. I know I am coming from a different perspective from a majority of the world. I was able to find out about DJ AM through his shoe collection through Niketalk (NT). So I am personally a little jaded on my feelings about him and his life. As a lurker on NT for a long time DJ AM was one of those guys that just seems like the way he posts and what he says on the board is who he really is. For those that have been on message boards know how it is where people change on the boards. People change themselves online as it is, feeling mightier and tougher as you hide behind a computer screen.
DJ AM just seemed genuinely a nice guy who was into shoes and a lot of things that young males were into. It didn’t matter that he was dated Nicole Ritchie or Mandi Moore, although most of us were envious it was never brought up. The pictures and things he shared online were never to brag or show off but just another person showing stuff they were proud of. He worked his ass off to get where he was so he enjoyed himself. When he appeared on Entourage it was one of those proud moment’s of all “shoeheads”. He didn’t sell out or do anything that contradicted himself and that’s something to be said of. Also him willing to admit of his past and not cover anything up made him that much more a stand up guy. From his drug issues, weight issues, the plan crash, etc he shared with others it seemed so that they could learn from it.
