Dreaming since 1980….

So here is a question for you. Why is laundry so dang difficult to do. I mean I took a poll (which means I asked my friends) who else just didn’t like doing laundry and overwhelmingly the majority does. I am not sure why it’s so difficult to do since in theory it’s really easy to accomplish. I mean seperate your clothes by colors and whites. Seperte anything else that you feel is important. Separate towels and misc items then go to it right? Add detergent and whatever else, I use Oxyclean, set it to the right temp and move on right? When it’s done move to the dryer and throw some static cling and then sort. Sounds like such a easy task but it’s so darn a PITA.

I’ve used all sorts of laundry machines. Bad ass front loading steam machines to the laundry mat. Regardless it seems like such a pain to do. I think it’s because it just never turns out right. You lose a sock or a shirt shrinks just a little to much or a stain just doesn’t lift. And it’s not the machines fault it’s a brainfart on your part that messed it up. The machine didn’t spill beer on you. The machine doesn’t know how the clothes will react to the temp. The machine doesn’t eat socks, well it might that’s up to debate.

I find myself probably dreading the final product more then anything. The FOLDING of clothes, I despise it honestly. I wish I could just hang everything and when I say everything I mean EVERYTHING. I even bought one of those flip-fold things to help me fold. It’s dope but it leaves creases that bother me and forces me to want to iron t-shirts, which I do on rare occasion. Just wanted to rant and complain about something I despise. Don’t mind me now as I go and fold some laundry
